You see, I'm a little confused about the Town Fund thing. When 200,000 bells is a bridge, is it an additional 200,000 after that to make 400,000 total? , or is it an additional 400,000 (to make the fountain)?

I've always heard that the town fund was just a hoax. What are you talking about?

the amount you donate doesn't seem to cumulative. we had to donate 200,000 for the bridge and then anoterh 500,000 for the fountain, and another 1 million for the lighthouse.

I have got a hacked town! I don't understand how I got it?

OK, now it makes sense, I thought that you were talking about the DS version, not the wii version. It was so long ago that I put that first post though that now on the wii version I have the new bridge, a fountian, and a light house. (which, you can choose between a light house and a windmill)
