The legendary Red Gyarados is known as a "Shining" pokemon. A shining pokemon's appearence is 1 in 1860 times you run into the same species of pokemon. try these links:

I have heard about emerald version that you have to go from the litltle island where the 8th gym is in sootoplis and go somewhere near there and surf and fish with the super rod for like...50 times and you will find it. Somewhere I read about that the person who said that said they already had 6 red gyarados's . I have 1 shiny pokemon in emerald its a shiny shuppet. I have never seen a shiny pokemon in ruby or sapphire version though I have those two games and played them for over two...or I mean 3 years. I have NEVER seen one before. I HAVE though seen a shiny espeon in Firered version...

You don't get Mystery Dungeon in Blue or LeafGreen:

use the bike.and what i did was catch a wobbofett just so it can't flee,and then fly to the same place over and over again.eventually it came near the town i was in,and i caught it.

Ummm... a gameshark is an item you put your game into and the gameshark into the console to get cheats. You get it through ebay or magazines.

i think you can get a red gyaradoes in diamond.But he has to be shiny
and shinys have a 1 in 1 000 000 chance of appearing

Red garados can be caught in Gold ,Silvar and Crystal in Diamond you can catch one but its very rare

Yea it is really rare it is just like any other shiny pokemon but i think it is a little more wellknown as it is in the start of diamond and pearl which i dont think they should have done, getting all our hopes up and all.

i got the egg and i saved before it hatches, after it hatches and if it is not a shiny magikarp and i reset the game will i have a chance to get the shiny magikarp
