I like Bulbasaur the most. I think that he has a wide array of moves that are cool, but not nessesarily effective. I can say that he/she is one of the best starters for the gym leaders because most of them can't beat him. Also, something really dumb, is that he can not be poisoned by Poison Sting, which can save you some time in Viridian Forest. He/she also is a strong Pokemon with good Special and Speed. Very good choice for people who want the least amount of complications while playing the game.

i think charmander is the best, even though the first two gyms are hard it pays off when you get a powerful Charizard.

stop it everyone! Everyone should know the CUTEST pokemon AND the most powerful starter pokemon EVER is Mudkip! I LOVE mudkip, and I have mudkip in all hoenn region games, Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald and I have a swampert in each! And also, since it is SOOOOOOOOO cute, Whenever I get a mudkip I always name it and I ALWAYS name it BABY! My sapphire swampert though, is the strongest pokemon I have in every game I have. My swampert in sapphire is lv.100. Actaully my BABY is lv.100. In Emerald my Baby is lv.60, for the battle frontire but I made it go to lv.61 now and anyway I have another one I cloned that is lv.60:) In Ruby my Baby is lv.67. All of my swamperts know these SAME exact moves:Earthquake,Surf,Waterfall,Rocksmash. That way in sapphire I beat the elite4 ten times. and I am NOT joking. But I could do better....I am training a Wailord with the elite4 that is right now lv.87 and Im training her for the Beauty Master Rank contest.

My favorite is the best of them all. He is Treecko. He may be weak to fire, but when bullet seed is added to his array of attacks, he is invincible. He is the best, smartest, coolest, awesome Pokemon! He is my Sapphire and Mystery Dungeon Starter. Don't mess with Treecko!

I quite like psyduck,on blue rescue team.
He can use ice moves,psykick moves and water moves,hes perfect for fighting all the legenary pokemon and looks awsome when he evolves into golduck!
