need for speed most wanted (Engine Issues)

Hey all-

I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to beat the blacklist. I'm on #10 but on the second race (Drag Race) my cars engine just blows. i figured it was just the car, so i used a different car in the race - just bought btw and the same result. is this some sort of defect in the game? i can't do much else without taking out #10..

any suggestions are most welcome

Uh... need for spped mw, I loved that game! Especially when you have full cop rating, and have to beat choppers, from what I've seen.

Is number #10 Karl"Baron"Smit?

Theres 8 tracks you can challenge him on, so just go to a diffrent one.
