Cheating on PS2

Hi,
I`ve never cheated before (on PS2 anyway.... :) but now I`m trying to enter some codes on PS2.
But how the h... do I enter a code like FE9ACE5E?!
Do I need a keyboard or something?
Please help me?

PS:Sorry for my stupid question, that I guess has a rather obvious answer..? :)

well i have to say putting codes into your ps2 is like throwing it out the window. it is not going to work after you do it, so take my advice and dont, Trust me.

you are probably trying to enter a PC cheat into a PS2 .. its not gonna work.

PS2 cheats are like: up, down, square, square, R2, L1 ... like that.... its an example only, not any cheat I am aware of at least .. lol

i do think there are some cheats that you put in so you can have save files on certain games .
By inputting codes in the momory card secition.

It depends on the game.

Some games, you have to do something to enter cheat codes.
Some you do it at the title screen.
Some require complicated buttons.

THe one your trying to enter, as said, may be a PC one. But sometimes the game provides a little on screen keyboard. Like when your entering your name on a game?

i think in my opinion the ps2 is by far the worst console around other than the ds
those cheats only correspond to certain games
listen 2 me becaus ive completed over 400+ games on nearly all platforms and consoles and im only 12

I think 1 of 2 things.
1: u need a game shark/action replay device
2:as Cheetah said it might be a computer code because ps2 codes consistof the buttons on the ps2 controller.

FE9ACE5E is an action replay 2 code (i think, though it could be gameshark 2) which isn't made any more. Action replay max only works with the older ps2 so go for gameshark 2. There will be instructions in the box. you could even try to make your own codes(you would need a dvd drive on your pc and a hex viewer. i did that with mercinaries, my favorite ps2 game)

you don't need a keyboard but it is much faster.
