The staff has been in discussion for about a month now regarding allowing active links to sites outside our main site and forum.
The conclusion has been reached that allowing such links (urls) in posts and signatures violates the advertising rule as well as allows our members the possibility of clicking on a malicious link which would download a hazard to your computer.
As there have been so many active links posted and placed in signatures it will take us a while to clean them up .. we are asking for your help. You are free to post the address to a site, provided you leave out the http and the www. so it would look like this: notasite.com and NOT like this: www.notasite.com (http://www.notasite.com) In doing so people are then free to copy and paste the addy into their browser if they choose to risk a visit to the site.
We apologize for the inconvenience as we know you are all used to putting links up .. however, we feel it is best for the safety of all of you and CheatMaster's liability that we make this change. Again, it is fairly common practice with some of the bigger and better sites which we aspire toward.
Thank you all for your understanding and patience while we go through this vital change.
