Well you have to pay attention. My brother saw it and he said that they did denounce god. I thought it was going to be a god movie.... I think that it is pretty dumb to add uneeded things that are anti god and that makes you loose the christian audiences. And Beowolf did the same thing! In the film a guy asked "Should we pray to the new greek god Juesus?" And the guy said, "No we dont need to pray to him, we have enough things to worry about." Or something along those lines.

well, technacly speaking, its not about killing god. the next to books in the series r though, but it's a really good series.
so, just because the books r about killing god, that doesn't mean that it's a bad series.
