Uhh...yeah...I will NEVER trade in my gamecube...it's too valuable. The Gamecube was the best system ever released that was a bit ahead of it's time. Sure, now we have the Xbox 360 and PSP, but does that crap really matter? Nintendo's the only one that has ever done anything to "take gaming to the next level" so why would anyone be so stupid to trade in the biggest selling, coolest game system around just for something that get's you up and moving? Honestly, if it were worth more than just 30 or 40 dollars, I would trade it in. But that's never going to happen. So why waste time?

Can't say I agree with you there. Mircosoft and Sony have both made extreme contributions to the industry, along with Sega.

Gamecube was not even close to the biggest selling system, and although coolest is a matter of opinion, I think the GameCube was a half-jobbed system just to keep interest in the company until their trophy product (Wii) came out.
Isn't Wii backwards compatible anyhow? Why wouldn't you buy it?

When Microsoft and Sony said they where taking gaming to the next level all they are doing it making games with better grapgics and oo making a console with a wireless controller. If you want the next gen gaming systems you should stick with Nintendo the wii and ds are the two best things i ave ever brought they are the best and i would not sell or swap the for anything.

Well I won't lie, when you "take gaming to the next level", Sony/Microsoft and Nintendo definitely had different views on how to apporach that. I personally don't think I could ever get that into Wii, but it is quite unique.

I wanted to get a DS at one point, but I decided against it. Handheld consoles just aren't that fascinating to me anymore unless if there is a power outage. But if it's any consolation, I would buy a Wii and a DS before a PS3 or PSP.

For now, I'll just stick to 360.
