Because the PS2 doesn't have the specific harddrive capabilities to have music. It can only play CDs, watch movies, but it can't save any music.

xbox can do all of that

the Xbox 360's can do it while playing the game just press the thing in the middle of your controller and click on select music then pick but you have to save'em on of course

They were discussing hardrive capability for PS2. If you look at Lukario's thread on the first page, you'll find what they were talking about. As for the other two on page two, I don't know either, but it can be carried out in PM.
