I Am A Newbie And Have Never Used Any Forum Before So Could You Please Help As My Childrens X Box (not 360) Has Come On With The Red Rings Of Death And I Havnt A Clue What To Do And Cannot Afford To Replace It, Or Have It Proffessionally Repaired. Does Anyone Know What To Do I Am At My Wits End And Would Really Appreciate The Help Or Directions For Free Advice

If I remember correctly you should be able to send it into Microsoft and get it fixed for free. I do not know if they still do that, but I think that is what you should do.

yea they do fix it for free still but it might take a while to send it back cause they got other customers with other problems also

I thought they stopped selling the original xbox, at least I havnt seen one in stores in a long while.

No you should be able to by the Xbox pre-owned for around $50

I have never heard of Microsoft fixing a regular xbox. To be honest, I've never heard of the red rings of death on one either. But obviously, they do exist.

Anyway, I would say call them and see for sure. If they do not fix or replace original XBOX anymore, shops such as Gamestop, Gamecrazy, EBGames etc do sell used XBOX, and I'm pretty sure they're as cheap as the previous member said.

I also see you're from the UK. As I'm from America, I do not know the gaming stores there. Any UK members help out please?

i clearly think that it is true you can fix the 360's Ring of Death........i heard about it and it is very deadly to the system....thats why they call it the ring of "death" i don't want that to happen to me cus thank god i don't own a 360

Micro soft will fix it 4 free unless they think u broke it intentionlly to get the whole thing fixed

then that would be........wrong.........some idiot would probably break it on purpose and get it fixed for free.............i don't wanna be one of them.....good thing to since i don't own one but do no alot about it
