So you want to try online gaming. There isn't much to really say except that the rules change on which ever server your on. It just takes time getting used to servers and the game. Could you be more specific on your question?...

Playing against other humans is 100% different than A.I. The best way to learn is to play against others, and watch some of the things they do. If you like what you see, try to mimick it. If you don't, then don't.

With a huge game like CoD4, it shouldn't be hard to find good players.
