Has anyone here heard of this movie? If not, it is probably because the movie version is called simply 21. Does that help, lol? Anyways, from seeing the trailers, this actually looks like a pretty interesting movie. I actually took the time to read the book, and it really is an adrenaline rush. The best part is that it is based off of a true story.
First off:
The main character, Kevin (named Ben in the movie) who was leading a pretty normal life at MIT, gets into blackjack from his friends Martinez (Choi) and Fisher. Before that though, he was leading a pretty normal life over at MIT. He was an honor roll student, with a great future, and part of the swim team. Martinez later asks him if he's ever played blackjack, and Kevin says that he only played once or twice, but never anything involving money. He gets introduced to the MIT blackjack team, headed by Micky Rosa. After meeting the main players, consisting of Kianna, Martinez, Fisher, and the rest...(Michael, and Brian are not present as major roles in the movie; but they are in the book, as their normal role was mainly spotter.)

Before Kevin can join the team, he has to complete a series of tests, where they all go to a Vegas casino and Kevin has to play each of the three roles: spotter, gorilla, and Big Player, or BP. Moving along...Kevin gets into the team, and starts winning big. The main conflict is that he does not have the courage to admit to his family that he leads a double life in gambline, one that his father would not be proud of. Moving along...the team gets sold out...meaning that someone has told one of the security firms (Plymouth in the book) all of the details of the MIT team. It is never reavealed who, but soon, one of the characters (I won't say who) get back-roomed, a card counters worst fear. The team starts to have tension, and they soon break up.

To find out what happens next, you will have to watch the movie, but this was basically a runaround of it. Now don't complain if I was wrong, I haven't seen the movie either, this was just from the book, and I intentionally left out parts as to not spoil the whole thing.

Thanks,
