Yeah mine did and I had two of thoughs fan things too keep it cool down. One on bootom and one on the side! The thing still fried on me, man I through that system too the wall and smashed it. It didn't solve anything but I felt better:laugh:! The Halo games are fun too play though!

Right let's go to pahse one. First of all. The PS3 comes with the extras already with it while with the XBOX you have to buy them seperate. The PS3 is also being sold for less than it costs to build it so the games are gonna have to be pretty expensive so as to pay for the loss on the machines.

You have a point but the PS3 is being sold for less than it costs to make! So it obviously means that the PS3 must have some decent features the XBOX don't. And Ferret has a good point.

I actually think the old Xbox is more reliable than the 360 because the 360 breaks down all the time.

I always had trouble with the laser in my XBox, but I still preferred it over my PS2. Unlike most I prefer the XBox controllers.

The support for the console by games developers was the main reason though. A lot of great games appeared on the XBox, some developers seemed to favor it over the PS2 which helped. I think with the 360 and PS3 things have evened back out again now though. I honestly can't say I have a preference for either of the latest consoles, they're both hugely powerful, they both have loads of great games, maybe the only difference right now is the price :D

Yeah the PS3 is much better than XBOX 360. It's much better in graphical design and much better extras and qualities. But I also think that the best person to buy a ps3 would be someone who wants more out of their console than just gaming and you want to be part of an online community.

hey whats so bad about the xbox 360? it has the graphics of a ps3 and has a vast selection of games; it has the best kind of xbox live sort of thing because of the achievements and it's only $300 for the pro edition! i agree that the ps3 is pretty awesome with its exclusive games and motion sensitive controller, though.

We're not saying the 360 is bad, it's great. But the PS3 has qualities that the 360 just can't live up to. It's got three more internal processers than the 360, which gives it better graphics, the PS3 has trophies too (although in 360's defence, these were only added recently) and as you said jajdr, the exclusive games and the motion sensor are really cool.

The problem with the PS3 is it has given everything everyone has pretty much asked for in a console! The problem is the technology is so advanced that:

A) People can't get to grips with this big technology leap
and
B) There is so much technology it costs a hell of alot of money.

The XBOX 360 however dosen't give all the technology that people want though it does give some. however:

A) It is a little bit easier to get to grips with
and
B) It is a hell of alot cheaper but consequently cheaper.

If your not much of a technology freack personally you should go for a Wii! If you can understand technology but maybe the PS3 is to advanced for you tastes take the 360 but if you really want to enjoy gaming and decent graphics and wanna put your money to decent use then pick the PS3!

Your looking for the cheapest way into HD gaming
Your keen to get involved in online gaming
You want to play the best conventional games out there

Whereas, you should go for the PS3 if:
You want more out of your console than just gaming
Your willing to wait for the PS3 to fulfill it's potential
You want to be part of a massive online community

The problem most people face is either they've really played on a Playstation or an XBOX much and I know from past experience that as soon as you swap you just can't to grasps with it and since (no offence here) that the playstation seemed to have bigger hits most people are playstation fans and once they play an XBOX they just can;'t understand it. I know when I played the XBOX I kept on the getting the controls mixed up cos of course on the XBOX A is the major button on the side but I'm used to pressing X alot which is at the bottom.

THe only good thing about the PS3 is the blue-ray player. The PS3 loads slow and if u are a madden player it sucks compared to the 360. Madden lags and it has the same problems as the old console lag problems. And with the new xbox live coming out the 19th it will top the PS3

Saying "back on topic" does not justify spamming. In my eyes, when you say that, you know you are spamming, which means you knowingly are breaking the rules. Why?

When I ask for supporting statements from another member to back up an opinion, if they give me small answers, I just leave it at that. There's no use continuing or trying to get out more of an explanation. If they cared deeply about the topic at hand, then they would have made more of an effort.
