I am the Author of this on another forum I am a member of and I've seen rising suspition's that this might clear up:
Most people think that forum staff layout rules with punishment and thats it, well that is what I call a Forum Misconception
Myths:
Administrators have all the power on the forum and can do whatever they want when they want.
Administrators have no extra rules to follow and are immune to any rule.
Administrators can layout punishment about anything with no limitations or steps to take. no matter how unfair the punishment is.
Moderators and Global Moderators are not regular members and should be treated like a king.
No matter what they do Administrators can't be stripped of rank or banned.
Facts:
Administrators DO NOT have all the power on the forum, and every action they take must be logged and discussed. they cant do what they want when they want.
Administrators actually have alot more rules then regular members, some even more serious is broken, and are still subject to basic rules.
Administrators cannot layout punishment for any thing. on forums disciplinary actions are taken so seriously taken within the staff that truly they cant lock a thread w/o every staff knowing immediately and they have steps to take in punishment. and punishment must be suitable for the violation
Moderators and global mods arent kings they are just regular members with some shiny badge to recognize that they hold athourity but they are regular members and should be treated the same unless there are using there authority, then you should treat them like you would a cop.
