I can't Stand Akon, Emiem, Tu-Pac, Snoop Dog, Kanye West, Soulja Boy especially! Ugh, I get sick of hearing about them. Freaking Akon is the number one Myspace song writer. What does that say about our world?!

When you get right down to it though, Slipknot wouldn't be Slipknot without the masks. Type them in without their masks. It isn't the same. That would be like taking away Kiss' face makeup and heavy uniforms. They wouldn't be kiss. I am not trying to persuade you into liking them. It is their thing that makes them different from the crowd. Take away Steven Tyler's voice and what does he have? Take away Nickelback's Chad Kroeger and they aren't the same. Take away Shaggy in Scooby Doo and it isn't the same anymore.

Wow, that is funny...I don't really care for them either. I don't really consider rap talent, mainly because it is just talking with a beat and most of them are hard core gang bangers that win VMA'S, Grammy's and what not because people think that is talent. Anyone can talk with a beat really. You have to listen to singers like Celion Dion, Clay Aiken, Chris Daughtry, Mariah Carey, Vanessa Williams, um...Bo Bice, Kelly Clarkson, and people like them. They have singing talent.

That is so totally true! I no that Chirs Daughtry lives in my city. and i also think The Nelsons somewhat suck but they are on the so-so meter on my liking bar

Most of those artists you mention can sing very well, but at least 3 of them I know for a fact do not write their own music.

Producing a beat for hip-hop is an art. The beat is usually what makes people come back to the song. Artists such as lil wayne have taken the country by storm because of lyrics. Talking to a beat still requires knowing how to count rhythms. I can still hear emotion in songs that are rapped, even if they are not sung.

Rappers do not have musical talent? Disagree. A lot of rappers can actually sing, as well.
Are Mariah Carey and Juvenile the same sort of talent in the music business? Absolutely not. But I don't like to sell short talent when it is deserved.
