Help with Madden please

i just bought xbox 360 and Madden 2007 for it, but cannot figure out how to control all teams during season....meaning rosters and what not, i tried checking each box when the select a team screen is on but it does nothing once i get to the season....please help me with this....i can control all teams on ps2 so i must be able to the same

I do not like the madden games. As a matter of fact I have never tried them, but I do have NCAA football 05, and I heard it is a better franchise than madden.
