I'm the kinda player that just has to pick the workings of a game apart to decide on a strategy for a "BEST GAME". It makes for a lot of re-starts, believe me...
I got the notion that if I could get some of the quickenings just for one party member or another, I could maybe arrange them so that the fire and other elemental quickenings would be all gathered on three characters, and maybe even change the level of them by getting them in a certain order.
~This of course was after I had a hand-drawn map of
exactly which quickenings I found WHERE...
SO I restart... THIS TIME I payed attention! Oops, oh DRAT!!!
No matter what you do, the same characters get the same quickenings at the same level - and the tile on the checkerboard that they pick them up from doesn't make any difference (FACT!)
I began to clear all the tiles on the LP MATRIX and left the quickenings untouched. (at this point I was working over the Ogir-Yensa Sandsea because it's one of the best "Chain Looting" areas in the game. I was doing this because the Quickenings are the best way to beat the animated wall in the Tomb of Raithwall).
When I looked at them in the license screen - NO MATTER HOW MANY quickenings were available for each party member to pick: ALL of them were the same.
Switching from one party member to another changed them to the next quickening FOR THAT PARTY MEMBER.
They are pre-determined...
I conclude that nothing about the quickenings can be changed at all except which tiles you get them from, and if that's true the only thing that matters is going to the closest quickening tile for each party member. There is no point in trying to get all the tiles revealed for all the party members - it's best to send them to the four winds and not worry about it.
Silly me!
I guess now I can just get on with it
