How-to: A "How-To" Guide To The Forum (Image Version) (Please Read Before Posting Here!)

Due to a number of threads that I see that have questions that are covered in the guide, plus the fact that the other guide may be too complicated for people that do not want to read through lots of text. I have created images that I believe will improve your understanding of where certain things are on the forum and how to use them. While this is a mostly image based guide to the forum, there will be some text to better explain what are in the pictures.

NOTE: This is a supplementary guide. It does not contain as much detail as the text based thread, and does not contain information on most of the articles in the text-based version, as images would not really improve the nature of those articles that much. I still very much encourage you to read both articles, and if you still cannot figure something out, PM me and I will try to do the best I can to assist you.

Article One - How to Insert a Signature [0001]

Start out by going to your User CP.



Then, click on Edit Signature



Once there, just add your text and click Save Changes



Article Two - Setting an Avatar [0002]

Just like with setting your signature, you'll want to go to your User CP.



Then, click on Edit Avatar.



You'll then want to select from either a predefined avatar or one you have saved on a website or your computer.



When you select the avatar you want, click Save Changes and you're done.

Article Three - Image Hosting [0003]

Go to one of these sites or any other site you like to host images on (please bear in mind that some sites require registration, and may use different methods to upload pictures.) For these pictures, I used tinypic.com.

Once you are at the point where you can upload your pictures, upload them like so.



Then, when they are done uploading, you can copy and past the image code to your post (IMG code is the only code that will display the image on this forum. None of the other ones will.)



And then you're all set.

Article Four - How to Make a Thread, Post [0004]

Part A: Making a Thread

Start out by selecting the forum you want to post a thread in.



Then, click the new thread button.



Once you do that, you can type in your thread and click Submit to create the thread.

Part B: Making a Post

Similar to making a thread, all you need to do is find the thread your want to post in, and click the Post Reply button or use the Quick Reply function.



Then you're all set.

Article Five - Adding Images to a Post [0005]

Once you've gotten to the point of making a post, you might want to add an image. First, you need to get the image source, which you can find by right clicking the image and clicking Properties. Copy and paste the image source into the post, like so.



Then, when you submit your thread or reply, the image source will turn into an image.



Alternatively, you can drag and drop the image into the post field and it will show up there without the need of having to find the image source.
