Now that my opinions on CoD's online is over with, I can talk about actual gameplay. Simply put, there are enough war games out there, and Call of Duty is just not one I find likeable. Thanks, Lukario

I'm looking forward to playing it myself. Since I don't currently own a PS3, but will be getting one, I have never played COD 4. I have played COD 5 many times though round friends houses. I think this could be another great game creation, I have always loved the COD series, yet for me COD will always be at it's best when it creates WW2 games. There is no denying that COD 4 was amazing yet you are either a WW2 lover or Modern Warfare and for me the WW2 one was defenatley the best. Yes I'll look forward to it but I don't think I will love it as much as the WW2 ones. One thing I do worry though is that the campaign will be awful and the game will be concentrated on online. I think that was what happened with WaW. Awesome online but the campaign was awful. So I don't know what to expect anymore. Oh yeah, my teacher's son pre ordered the game and got it a day early! Lucky boy.

Well I bought it on release day; couldn't resist the shiny, new cover.
I won't go into too much detail' basiclly singleplayer is really good, It is much better then CoD5 (Which was quite good, in my opinion), and it is in a diffrent catergory then CoD4. Because, while the US Campaign Missions still feature the masses of people the first five games did, the Call of Duty series has taken a sort of James Bond-style to it. The first three hours are thrilling, visually stunning and feel like your in a movie (One mission is absolutely incredible, its called The Gulag) but the final hour...ergh. Horribly disgusting. Very poor and the ending has to be one of the worst in gaming history. A major setup for the next game. Yin, one or two missions in the game do feel like they are showing off the shiny new weapons for multi (Predator missiles, etc) and some parts felt like Battlefield 2; but other then that and the final four, five missions the game is a mustplay (A weekend rent is enough to experince the SP). This is all coming from a World War Two freak as well (Very obsessed with WWI and WWII) and I am a total worshipper of the first two Call of Duty games (CoD2 is a classic) but COD 4 is worth your time and so is SP CoD6. MP I haven't played much. I've spent ten hours on Spec Ops, and I am going off to spend another ten. My hands are sore and I'm busy, but essentially Spec Ops is Nazi Zombies from WaW, a rare stroke of genius which is really fun.

I've heard of this thing similar to Nazi Zombies and I am rather excited about it.
Sounds amazing but the ending doesn't sound great. It probably wouldn't be the first time they had a poor ending. COD 3 didn't have the best ending in the world. I would agree that COD 2 is the best by the way. Taking on a James Bond style? Don't know what to make of that. Doesn't sound brilliant. Well at least I have some reassurance of the campaign. Then again, I have heard that COD 4 had the best campaign ever. As a different company makes Modern Warfare maybe they will make much better campaign's than Treyarch? Who knows. But what I am most interested in is the ending. Was it that bad? Mind telling us how it goes? I wouldn't be that worried about the story being told. I mean, it's not like it is a book now is it?

Okay, here's the ending (Massive plot spoil after this!)
Basiclly Russia invades America because the US was setup for terrorist killings. The whole battle there goes along while a small group called Task Force 141, which is setup to take down this terrorist, Makarov. 141 goes into Russia and rescues a character from the last game, Price. After some stuff which happens the leader of 141, Shepard, betrays Price and Soap (the main charcter), kills some of the force, and Price and Soap go rogue and are globally wanted. Yeah, that's where it leaves the CoD path. So Price and Soap infiltrate a US base in Afghanistan, where they hunt down Shepard in a wild river boat chase, through some caves and mines, around a mountain before Shepard's helicopter crashes. What follows is a melee between Price and Shepard, before Soap pulls a knife which was embedded in his chest, and throws it in Shepard's eye. End of game. Its just such a anti climax when compared to the rest. And cliche. And cheap. I forgive IW though, the rest of the game has so many memorable moments. Worth the $80 I paid for it, though other stores were selling it for 120!(Thats AUD btw)
