what a shiny is
a shiny pokemon is a different colored pokemon. they are Extreamly rare. they have better stats the the ordanairy. i don't knoww if they have better moves. cause i never caught one....

scratch that last comment. I just asked my friend about them and he said they were only golden witch sounds pretty cool. srry if i sounded kind of stupid!

Well....I currently have 1 shiny pokemon. I caught it in emerald version( the only game I have seen with shiny pokemon in it next to firered version) and its a shiny shuppet. I also once found a shiny clamperl but I didnt realize it was a shiny pokemon(since I had never seen a shiny pokemon on the games) and I was BADLY looking for a relicanth so I could unlock the 3 regis(which I have tem all FINALLY). I guess heres a pic of a shiny shuppet:

Shiny charizards are black.....charmanders and charmeleons on the other hand ARE gold.
