It would probably better if you waited for the double deals EA will do once one of the several expansions are released.
Apparently, with all Sims 2 expansions and item packs in one, at original prices, it would cost more then $600 AUD all up. That's a lot of money for a game so similar to life...

I'll tell you this much. I love the Sims 2, and while it is close to life, if you die in reality, you're dead, if you die in Sims, you have a million options. New sims, don't save, ect. My friend bought Sims 3, and I watched her play it, and it sucked. Like a lot of others will tell you, it's 2 steps forward, and a million back.

Its really good but really slow it takes like 10 minutes to save
