Do you have PS3?

I thought I was getting a PS3 but turned into a nightmare. I had been on the fence on getting one when a friend gave me a link to a 60Gb drive auction on eBay, it had some extras and a couple games. The deal was a "Buy It Now" for $850. This was a great deal at the time considering most were still going for $1000 on eBay for similar deals. So I took the bait...

The next thing I knew the guy emailed me saying he did not have access to his PayPal account and wanted to know if I would do a wire transfer. I told him I already paid. A couple emails later we had decided he would refund the PayPal payment and I would wire transfer the money once I got the Ps3 in hand.

Will the next day I was suppose to get the package it never came .. nor the next. The package was said to have been over night shipped. I then requested a tracking number and never got a reply. Several days later I filed the claim on PayPal. This guy was suppose to be in New York and I am only a couple states away. He provided a tracking number to PayPal but it ended up being from some shipping company in Spain and the tracking information for the number provided state the package was refused.. But there was no date, no address, or anything to show if it was truly my package or some bogus tracking number. The short of the rest of it is that I eventually got a partial refund and PayPal says they are trying to get the rest. arrrg

they havent been relesed in the uk yet lol and i live there so i gotta go without for a bit could u telll me what the graphics are lyk and if its worth wasting £500 pound on

Oh man that sux. I panicked like that when i bought an xbox 360 on ebay last year. The guy didn't reply to emails for days. I was ready to email paypal. Then the next day the xbox came.

I really want to get one. Only to install linux, download Grandturismo HD and buy ridge racer 7.

I wanted to get it at first, but after finding out its price I said no way. Not even for the $600 dollars it's going on for now. That's just too much to pay for a gaming system thats going to one day get replaced by another. And what's up with the blue ray disks?...they only add to the extra cost. People have to spend even more...

i agree with Sojiro..too much money..and that is all they seem to want out of us for our pockets.. wouldnt mind a PS3 myself but for $600 i can buy a flat screen with all that other HD stuff to go with it..
i heard that the blue ray dvd's will soon replace our orginals...meaning that our dvd players now will be obsolete...they blue ray taking over and not being able to play the orginal dvd...does this mean a whole collection and another to collect dust?

Nope, I do not have one. I'm actually not planning on buying one anytime soon either. I mean it's pretty much the same as the 360 but $200 for the best one, I think that's a rip off.
