The mighty conflicts between Zerg, Protoss and Human are now the stuff of high literature, as Blizzard Entertainment has landed a short story about Starcraft in the Spring 1999 issue of Amazing Stories.

The story is called 'Revelations' and was written by Blizzard game designer Chris Metzen along with author Sam Moore. The cover image for the magazine was made by Blizzard art director Sam Didier.

"My hope is that 'Revelations' will give our fans a new perspective on the scope and depth of the Starcraft world, while also introducing a few non-gamers to a new sci-fi universe," said Metzen.

The story describes a human sergeant's first encounter with the alien species the Protoss and Zerg. This story of 'first contact' goes horribly awry, as the Protoss and Zerg immediately start a war.

The Amazing Stories issue with the Starcraft cover will hit newsstands on March 29th.
